K.L.S. College, Nawada, is the oldest and premier co-ed institution in Nawada district. The College started its journey in 1957 and runs under the sweet shadow of the Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya. Since then this college has been developed as an icon of the teaching and learning process, infrastructural advancement, student progression, and overall development of a young generation of the state, particularly the Nawada and Nalanda districts of Bihar state. The vision and mission of our College are to nurture and develop the underprivileged, rural, and talented young generation into responsible, independent, and resourceful people for the nation by providing quality and practical-based education, guidance, and helping them to find the new heights in their lives. We aim at enlightening and empowering the youth to become socially responsible citizens and to equip them to compete in a multicultural environment.
The college imparts teaching of more than twenty subjects of Arts, Science and Commerce faculties. Apart from basic and traditional courses, we have also introduced three degree-level professional courses, including B.C.A., B.Sc. (IT), and B.B.A., in view of current employment opportunities and changing global perspectives of education and training. The College strongly believes in the all-round development of the students and has always encouraged them to participate and excel in NSS, the Eco-Task Force, sports, and cultural and co-curricular activities. Their distinction in different aspects has brought laurels to the institution. The IGNOU study center is going to be opened in K.L.S College, Nawada from the coming academic year.
The multi-dimensional academic activities have turned the college into a center of excellence, fully equipped to face the challenges posed by the growing demands in the traditional teaching, commercial, vocational, and higher education fields. In the era of liberalization and globalization, the college has become ready with high technology to accept the challenge of modern science, information, and communication technology.
The college commits to equip students for the pursuit of knowledge with excellence with the objective to serve the nation and humanity.
